Ten years since the establishment of the Confucius Institute, fromsmall to large, it has been to continue to grow at a higher speed, but theattendant problems have gradually increased, especially because of culturaldifferences and lack of cultural identity,which have hindered the furtherdevelopment of Confucius Institute and become the bottleneck toConfucius Institute which restrict its sustainable development.Ultimately the difficult problem of integration is not teaching, butrather cultural issues. Various cultural activities organized by theConfucius Institute Confucius Institute are important ways of culturaltransmission. They are not only a cultural diplomacy which can show apositive image of the Confucius Institute, but also a way to let local peopleknow the Confucius Institute, to understand China. Also, it allows learnersto participate, to deepen understanding of Chinese culture and promoteChinese language learning. In addition to teachers of the ConfuciusInstitute, it also let them to approach local people, to enhance their culturalawareness, which is beneficial to cultural interaction. So, excellent culturalactivities play a good role in promoting the sustainable development of theConfucius Institute.Confucius Institute for academic research and cultural activities aremainly from the macro point of view of the Confucius Institute to enhancethe role of China’s cultural soft power, or some simple empirical, and theuse of research plus a faithful record of objective analysis is basicallyblank.In this paper, under the concept of intercultural communication theoryand research and perspective of cultural features and the elements ofintercultural communication, it analyzes the relationship betweenintercultural communication and cultural activities of the ConfuciusInstitute. Combining individual experience in cultural activities in BishkekHumanities University Confucius Institute and the successful experience ofthe Confucius Institute, it analyzes how to efficiently organize meaningfulactivities, and the impacts on local students and communities. It alsoexplores how to carry out valuable cultural activities to promote the sus- tainable development of Confucius Institute.
