The Sustainable Development Of Cultural Activities Hold By Confucius Institute In Thailand

Since the first Confucius Institute(CI) was built in Korea 2004, Confucius Institute,.CI has been making great progress and making remarkable contributions to Chinese language and Culture promotion.CI in Thailand as one group of most outstanding Confucius Institutes around the world, has been attracted international wide. Except Chinese language teaching, excellent Chinese Culture exchanging activities is also an important task of CI. According to its own advantage and local culture, CI has been holding lots of Chinese culture activities around the world.CI in Thailand is also following this trend and making Chinese culture activity exchange as its specialty of Chinese language teaching.Base on Harold Dwight Lasswell 5W communicating mode and cross culture communication theory,this article carried out a questionnaire survey in four CI in the north, middle and south of Thailand,classified cultural activities organized by the CI in Thailand and divided into four types: competition, cultural experience,performances, and academic classes.And then work through summarizing experience of Chinese activities holding from the audience, communicators, communication content, communication, dissemination five parts,obtainiing the necessity and finding problems of these activities.Through the survey, I found that Thai cultural activities have good effect,but the mode of transmission is single and content is boring that should be improved.And then studying Spring Festival activities holding by Confucius Institute at Phuket,Thailand,from three aspects including carefully planned before the event,optimization during the event, summary and report after the event to analyze the series active mode.At last,discussing three problems during the promoting of culture activities: the professional quality is not enough, the lack of innovative, fund limited and then make effective suggestions and measures from the four aspects which are event organizer,event content, event publicity media, market-oriented local operation,in order to make sustainable development of Confucius Institute.
