Chinese international education, as the name suggests is to teachingChinese as a second language ouverseas. Learning a language, onealways wants to grasp its overall pattern quickly, starting with itsgrammar. Because the grammar is the pattern abstracted from thenumerous grammatical unit of common combinations or types whichexpress the semantics. It is abstracted from the individual and specificthings in words and sentences, representing the basic and fundamentalchange and use of words and sentences. Since the grammar is a summaryof the language’s universal law, are there same points between thedifferent grammars? The answer is positive.For English and Chinese, the world’s most widely used languages, inthe learning process, both of which can be useful tools to master otherlanguage in the learning process. But the learning and research of onelanguage can not be fully applied to the other one, because they are afterall different to a greater extent.The American students are seriously affected by the negativemigration of English while learning Chinese. We should carefully studythe similarities and differences between the two languages, understandimportant role of language migration in teaching Chinese grammar, andtry to make some effective teaching strategies to promote positive transferof the language. Using the knowledge we have handled and accumulatedwhen teaching, we can fully activate and use the positive the migration ofEnglish grammar and prevent the negative impact of its interference.Meanwhile we should put this comparative analysis and migration inteaching Chinese grammar, so that we can improve our Chinese teaching.Because of the geographical, historical and cultural differences,there are differences between the two languages, embodied in the way ofthinking, logical order, ideographic effects. When the US students learnChinese, comparing their mother language with Chinese helps them tograsp the general pattern of the target language more quickly andaccurately.In the Chinese international education textbooks on grammar, different authors present their own ideas and suggestions on grammarteaching methods. But the market has not yet published any textbook ofresearches by the way of comparing Chinese and English basic grammarin Chinese international education.This paper will utilize the method of comparative analysis incomparative linguistics in Chinese international grammar teaching. Wecompare the SVO patterns, analyze the differences and explore thesymmetry, so that we can overcome the difficulties caused by languagedifferences and utilize the symmetry between languages to help languagelearning. This article has more than30,000words, comparing andanalyzing the grammar of Chinese and English systematically, and thensummarizing the similarities and differences.By analyzing the migration phenomenon in the second language, wecan seek the grammar bias of the Western students and guide thegrammar teaching methods in Chinese international education.
