This thesis focuses on the text of the Hondas’possession of the photocopy of Cottage Poems published in the magazine Sumibi and the photocopy of the original Cold Mountain Poems possessed by Japan Kunaicho Shoryobu. And I refer to Iriya Yoshitaka’s Ryokan Poems, Tanikawa Toshiro’s Checked and Annotated Ryokan Poems, The Annotation of the Poems of Han Shan and Shi De annotated by Xuelie Qian and The Annotation of the Poems of Han Shan by Chu Xiang. After a deeper understanding of Cottage Poems and Cold Mountain Poems, the thesis focuses on the important literary themes-impermanence. By comparing and analyzing the impermanence of youth, impermanence of wealth and impermanence of life, the author can conclude the following:1. Cottage Poems is strongly affected by Cold Mountain Poems.Firstly, for the use of the verse, the verses of Cottage Poems are the same or similar with those of Cold Mountain Poems.Secondly, for the object described in the poem, Cottage Poems and Cold Mountain Poems both use the image of female to show the impermanence of youth, the image of youth to show the impermanence of wealth and the passing away of the relatives and friends to show the impermanence of life.2. Cottage Poems and Cold Mountain Poems do not chant the impermanence negatively. The attitude towards impermanence-specifically the outlook on wealth, life and death is not negative, either. In addition to describing it in a sober and thorough way, they often chant the law of impermanence of the universe with an attitude of praise and delight. Both all believe people should treat poverty as fun and help each other, especially the rich should help the poor, so they can live a happy life; for all the changes in the world, both seek for pure emptiness of self-nature really sort of understanding, seeking reincarnation and completely liberated from sinking in the pain of impermanence from the Buddhism.3. There are two reasons why Cottage Poems is impacted by Cold Mountain Poems.Firstly, Han Shan’s lifestyle and the way of thinking resonate with Ryokan. Secondly, for the ideology, Han Shan embraces Confucianism, Taoism and Buddhism. Ryokan also express his lament about the people, monks and society at that time with righteousness, inaction, and compassionateness. In view of impermanence, Han Shan’s outlook on impermanence coincides with the inherent culture of Japan on thought and taste, thus arousing Ryokan’s interest in Han Shan. In turn, Han Shan had a great impact on Cottage Poems.Around the important literary theme of impermanence, through the comparative analysis of the impermanence of youth, wealth and life expressed by Cottage Poems and Cold Mountain Poems, we find that Ryokan was affected by Cold Mountain Poems which is a thousand years earlier, and he crosses time and space to show the reader the origins and development of the Sino-Japanese Poetry cultural influence, and let us cherish the cultural heritage-poetry which is the common language of Chinese culture in East Asia.It has a profound literary significance. It also has a very positive practical significance. Cottage Poems and Cold Mountain Poems explained to us the impermanence of the universe, and at the same time, they give us a positive implication on how to treat impermanence. They help us establish the correct value of wealth and life. And encourage us that the more we understand the law of impermanence, the more we should "only when coming bushy black hair, the line must be hard to live," that is we should take more efforts when we are young and not waste time.
