| Zheng Min, as an important female poet in China’s modern and contemporary periods, first became famous in poetic circle as one of the "Nine Leaves Poets". She had written Poetry Anthology:1942-1947, and enjoyed good fame in literary circle due to the philosophy of life in her poetry. After1979, Zheng Min’s poetic theory entered its mature stage because of her "Structure-deconstruction-reconstruction theory". She applied this theory into poetry and reinterpreted poetry’s cultural connotation, embodying internal features of poetic aesthetics and the trend of diversification. This kind of application saved China’s ancient cultural tradition and built a new one.In this thesis, the author went into research about Zheng Min’s poetics from three aspects:language, image and structure. In language, she was critic about semiotics in structuralism. She intended to build poetic language and reshape the glamour of Chinese poems. In image, she gave priority to life and theme in poetry. She held that poetry is the continuation of life and paid close attention to the destiny of intellectuals with "death" as the theme. In structure, because of the limitation of China’s modern and contemporary poems, she explored underlying poetic structure and reinterpreted "Structure theory". She made poetic creation with the cultural mindset of "conservation and popularization". What’s more, she drew lessons from western poetics in order to solve the problem of lost in China’s modern and contemporary poetry.Through the research results, we can find that China’s modern and contemporary poems need to be based on Chinese tradition, while at the same time to make some innovations towards traditional culture, which is just the final intention of Zheng Min’s poetic exploration. |
