Whether in daily life, or in the arts, the distribution of light and shadow can help us to grasp the shape of the object, showing the texture of the object. This paper tries to refer to reference philoponos’s "rule of thumb" and "silhouette Law" to illustrate the use of light can make objects prominent than the original did not use to be more light and shadow paintings with vivid. by listing the paintings of seaside life of the Impressionist painter Claude Monet and Spanish" Sunshine painter" Joaguin sorolla bastida works reflect the seaside life, and analyzing their use of light and shadow, the author tries to summarize painting technique of his own. At the same time, through the analysis of the theme of creation and way of expression, the author tries to prove that the scene using strong light is more vivid than that uses an ordinary light. Furthermore, by using expressive color and sketches illustrated in the works, the author tries to find his own painting language.
