Prospective memory refers to the memory of future events, includingevent-based prospective memory, time-based prospective memory and prospectivememory in three basic forms of activity-based.As an emerging hot spot areas ofmemory, prospective memory whether to participate in the cognitive processing ofresources, in the form of cognitive resources to participate is still debated, there is nosingle conclusion.On the other hand, the study of prospective memory processingmechanisms,more rfom the difficulty of the task, cognitive load, task contexts, thereare a little of top-down perspective research.Four experiments of this study was expanded from a top-down perspective.Theindependent variables include the importance of guidance language regulating thecurrent task and forward tasks and whether there are the prospective leads or not inthe guidance language. The dependent variables include the result of current task andprospective task.Experiment1:there are different guidance languages, one is the current taskmore important than prospective task，another is the opposite.We found that the taskimportance have powerful influence in current task and prospective task,the moreimpotrant the more good result.Experiment2: Whether there are prospective leads have influence on results ofsubjects. We found when we tell the subjects about the prospective leads,whetherthere are prospective leads or not,the result of current tasks have no difference.InGroup the prospective leads appears，prospective task performance was significantlybetter than the current task.Experiment3: Whether prospective leads appears on time have influence onresults of subjects.The results of prospective leads appears on time groups are betterthan prospective leads failure appears groups。Described us when there are theprospective leads, subjects were always put forward some cognitive resources invigilance tasks.Experiment4:We forward the task of ERP studies to further explore the prospective memory processing. We found that the presence of forward-looking task inthe400?550ms, there will be more obvious P3b appears instead P3a.Prospects forclues to prove that appear to be unrelated to the test is not a novel stimulus, but thesmaller the probability of target stimuli.Atfer the incubation period by theexperimental group showed a more forward task though infrequently, it is judged eachtime the test is always carried out more complex than a simple test is to perform thetask of cognitive processing.Finally, the paper studied in prospective memory processing mechanismsmisinformation paradigm summarized.By studying the misinformation paradigm, andfurther validate the prospective memory processing PAM theory, prospective memoryprocess is a cognitive resources consumed and requires vigilance throughout theprocess.
