The compiling practice of the utility of monolingual export-oriented Chinese learning dictionary is researched and discussed in this paper. This paper discusses the development, characteristics and current situation of export-oriented Chinese learners dictionaries at first and finds that our idea of compilation of the export-oriented Chinese learning dictionary is the learner is the center,the design content of compilation has a variety of functions into it, the target of compilation pay attention to the application and generation, practice of compilation combined with the structure, function and culture, the means of compilation have obvious interdisciplinarity and rely on large-scale corpus. Overall, the dictionary of scientific and academic is growing, but still has some shortcomings, the use of dictionary is not ideal.This paper is divided into five parts:This paper selects the masterpiece of introverted Chinese learning dictionary "Modern Chinese Dictionary" and export-oriented Chinese learner’s dictionary of modern Chinese representative works "Eight Hundred Words" as the research object, and compares characteristics and differences of the two dictionaries, analyzes the advantages and disadvantages of them.The users of "Modern Chinese Dictionary" are Chinese first language learners, the users of "Eight Hundred Words" are Chinese second language learners. In the word collection principles and vocabulary range,"Modern Chinese Dictionary" is comprehensive, standard, much and more timely updates.However,"Eight Hundred Words" is common, difficult to understand and a little. In the items and the arrangement,"Modern Chinese Dictionary" included comprehensive, mainly according to the frequency of use and convenience."Eight Hundred Words" takes the"common priority" principle arrangement. In the explanation way,"Modern Chinese Dictionary" has more and concise interpretation way."Eight Hundred Words" is easy to understand and has explanation of grammar.They have different classification. In the example, two dictionary use essays,"Modern Chinese Dictionary" use the phrase."Eight Hundred Words" use example sentences, emotional content more comprehensive. In the appendix information,"Eight Hundred Words" provides diverse content."Eight Hundred Words" provides information about the Chinese language information.Based on the above research, for foreign learners, this paper summarizes eight principles of learning Chinese export-oriented dictionaries:the object demands are clear, retrieval methods are concise, included entries is practical, meanings of treatment is scientific, explanation is vivid, example is typical, the cultural information is ricr^update and improving is normal.
