In the UK and the Delta of Yangtze River, many similar characteristics could be found in the economic activities of the poor women of these two regions:women workers struggled in tough environment, suffered from the harsh treatment, while they were only paid by extremely low wages. Servants existed in every corner of the society, their work were simple and tedious, which could exert their innate advantages, their wages were lower than workers, but, as they spent less, they could also save money finally. Life of rural women faced a great change, in the face of the impact of industrial production, they had to consider if they would leave to cities to make living, which also meant holy different future.
