Research On Female's Society Economic Activity In The Qing Dynasty Of Delta Region Of The Pearl River

This article mainly took the female socio-economic activities in the Pearl River Delta region of the Qing Dynasty as the research object,and concerned with a systematic analysis and research about women's socio-economic activities from different classes in the Pearl River Delta region on sexual division of labor.We try to know the women's socio-economic activities in the Pearl River Delta region how to change with the times in the Qing Dynasty,which is in the special era of Chinese society that transformed from tradition to modern times,and their role and significance to the family life,the region and even the social economy's development of the country.This paper also tries to show the life style of women in the Pearl River Delta region in Qing Dynasty,so as to have a deeper understanding of the social and economic activities of women in the Pearl River Delta region in the Qing Dynasty.The paper argues that the contribution of women's socio-economic activities that have made in local social economy's development in the Pearl River Delta region of Qing Dynasty should not be ignored.Moreover,from the socio-economic activities of women in different social class in Social Labor Production,Commodity Exchange and Consumption,the socio-economic activities of women in different social strata in the Pearl River Delta region of the Qing Dynasty are in an unbalanced state of inequality.The labor intensity of women in different social class who participating in social production and their consumption level or consumption performance were not directly proportional.There is a big gap between each other.The families of upper-class women occupy a lot of political resources,economic resources and cultural resources,their life are mainly dependent on men,no need to participate in the economic activities such as social labor production and commercial operation,so as to obtain a large amount of subsistence resources,development data and access to information,etc.There is not much economic pressure in themselves for upper-class women,the life is easy and relaxed.They mainly plays the role of direct or indirect participants and the ultimate beneficiaries in consumer activities.Their consumptionwere luxury and elegance.As for the lower class women,they should work for long time in order to earn a living.The changes of The Times have brought them out of the family to make a living,they are often seen in the socio-economic activities of domestic handicraft industry,modern industry,agriculture,fishery,commercial service industry,culture and art industry,etc.However,the resources that the lower class women's socio-economic activities can exchange,the survival information occupies the vast majority of their household income,and their daily living consumption level is far lower than that of the upper-class women.For lower-class woman like maidservant,even if is to participate in the activities of a large amount of consumption,there are quite a number of consumer activity's ultimate beneficiary is not themselves,they are just in it play the role of the executor or an intermediary agent consumption.Some of the lower social women who can afford luxuries have the tendency to be "materialized",their life often at the cost of deprivation of personal freedom and rights.
