In this paper, under the permission of clearing the concept of the documentary film, the style, and the style development, in the chronological order, from1927, the first Chinese documentary literature appear, to2013, divide stages, combing of different s age, narrative, aesthetic factors, etc. By analyzing the representative works’narrative, aesthetic features, image characteristics, the authors personal style, etc, to find out the style formation process, the specific factors, and IV conclude the literature documentary style of each time period, and summary the change development process in the comparison, find out its factors and internal laws, in order to find some thinking of Chinese documentary film theory and practice,This article is divided into four parts:The first part is mainly about the documentary film the research background, research purposes, the present situation of the style development research about documentary literature, and the research methods which is ready to use in this paper. Namely, explain why study, research question.The second part is the study of this article defining the subject--Chinese documentary film, and, in turn, to expounded the development of Chinese documentary film at China’s early time, after the founding of new China, in the new period and in recent years.The third part according to the time order, since1927, the first Chinese documentary literature birth until now, the years are divided into four periods, the1927-1949, before the founding of the people, the preliminary development stage of documentary film in China, during this period, and then according to the northern expedition, the Anti-Japanese War, liberation war time, select typical documentary literature during the war, From1950to1976, before the reform and opening up to the end of the cultural revolution, it’s the exploring period of the literature documentary; From1977to2000, before the new century, it’s the mature period of the documentary film; From2001to2013, since the new century, it’s the boom of the documentary film. There will be a concrete analysis about style of each time period typical documentary film, to outline the style of documentary film each time period.The fourth part is a summary of this article, to outline the results of this article, expounding the innovations and deficiency in this paper, in order to better improve in the future.
