Research On Huang Wenyang

Huang Wenyang was born in an impoverished family in Yangzhou, Jiangsu Province. He did not pass the imperial examinations and finally ended his life as a scholar. He was an important drama bibliographer in the Qing Dynasty and once served as the president of Yangzhou Drama Bureau in the Qianlong period. Qu Hai Catalog and Sao Gou Shan Fang Poems were his two representative works.The introduction states the significance of the paper’s topic and the present research situation of Huang Wenyang from the time background and academic atmosphere.The first chapter studies Huang Wenyang’s life.The second chapter studies the relationship between Huang Wenyang and drama.The third chapter studies Huang Wenyang’s poetry.The conclusion objectively summarises Huang Wenyang’s life, drama and poetry.The appendix gathers all the visible data as Huang Wenyang Chronicle to simply show his deeds.
