Audio-lingual method is based on listening and speaking practice language skills-basedteaching methods to promote the development of the second language teaching in both theoreticaland practical aspects. The audio-lingual method was originated in the United States, but itsinfluence spread all over the world, teaching Chinese as a foreign language field introduced thismethod in the sixties and seventies, and it is still being used till now. Audio-lingual method paysattention to practice the sentence pattern, advocates the priority of listening and speaking skills,attaches great importance to the learners’ grasp and utilizing of language skills, is suitable for theprimary stage students during teaching Chinese as a foreign language. In this paper, theaudio-lingual method and the theory of instructional design are combined to play a guiding role inthe teaching design of a comprehensive teaching materials for primary “road to success. lowerelementary” in lesson19,”There’s access to the Internet in the room”. Through the concreteinstructional design, we found the positive influence for primary stage integrated curriculum, andgave some improvement suggestions.There are five sections in this paper, the specific arrangement is as follows:In this paper, the first part is the introduction, expounding the reason why did we chose “road tosuccess. lower elementary” in lesson19as research material, research purpose and significanceand main research method,in order to give a reliable theoretical basis to support this research.The second part of this paper reviews the related research. The third part is the using ofAudio-lingual method in primary stage integrated curriculum, introduced the foundation of theory:the principles of instructional design and audio-lingual method. And the sufficiency of thosetheories which make an important support to this instructional design. The fourth part is thecentral part of the whole paper, which made a teaching plan for the text of selected teachingmaterials in the primary integrated class. Audio-lingual method theory guidance the instructionaldesign, shows the method of practical application in the process of primary integrated lessonduring teaching Chinese as a foreign language. The fifth part is the conclusion, the authorsummarize of the conclusions drawn in the study innovations and pointing out the shortcomingsof this article.
