A Study On The Evolution Of The Word Meaning Of Loan Words

On the development of society and the change of vocabulary and the meaning ofthe word is the most sensitive, especially the study is also important in linguistics.Foreign words as part of the Chinese vocabulary, with the development of society anddevelopment, its meaning has changed with the change of the society. In this paper,"Chinese Loanword dictionary","modern Chinese Dictionary (Sixth Edition)" theforeign words as the research object, according to the theory of language contact,lexicology, semantics, the static and dynamic combination of research methods,combination of macroscopic and microscopic view, comparative analysis andquantitative and qualitative analysis, from the foreign word meaning evolution reflectthe characteristics, reasons, approaches and effects are discussed.In this paper, except the introduction and conclusion, there are five chapters.The first chapter introduces the evolution of foreign words embody. From therational meaning of the word meaning evolution aspect, loanwords mainly narrowingand broadening, transferred meaning, in addition to enlarge, reduce, transfer ofcomposite. From the color meaning, emotional color and color with the evolution offoreign language words changed between both color and spoken language, writtenlanguage.The second chapter analyzes the evolution path of foreign words. Research fromthree aspects of semantics, grammar, pragmatics. The semantic aspects is extended,can be divided into chain extension, extension and extension of radiation. One is theimpact on Chinese vocabulary system, including the Chinese morpheme system,synonymous words expression and effect of semantic field; the two is the impact on the foreign words system; three is the impact on the national language.The innovation of this paper lies in the comprehensive study of word meaningand loanwords research results, combining the two, based on real corpus, namely"Chinese loan word dictionary" and "modern Chinese Dictionary (Sixth Edition)" inthe foreign words, comparative analysis. Through detailed data and diagram toillustrate the evolution and the results of foreign words.
