A Study On Pronouns In Gaoping Dialect

Dialect pronouns of Shanxi exist with obvious geographical features, differentareas use their own dialect pronouns, which are plentiful on forms and usages. Thestudy object of this thesis is Gaoping dialect pronouns, which include personalpronouns, demonstrative pronouns and interrogative pronouns. The author collectrelevant corpus database via field survey, and do a static description on forms,usages and characteristics of the three kinds of pronouns, comparing with mandarinat the same time. The thesis tries to make comprehensive and systematic analysis onGaoping dialect pronouns.The whole text consists of five sections:The first section is introduction, it describes something from the six aspects ofoverview of Gaoping, research status, purpose and meaning, research method,corpus sources and writing illustration, and phonetic system of Gaoping.The second section is about personal pronouns, analyzing their forms, usagesand characteristics, comparing with mandarin, and making three planes research on aspecial form of the first-person pronouns.The third section investigates demonstrative pronouns, the author uses bothstatic research and synchronic comparison to study the forms, usages andcharacteristics of demonstrative pronouns.The fourth section talks about interrogative pronouns, through analyzing theforms, usages and characteristics, it comes to a conclusion that interrogativepronouns are not as unique as the other two pronouns.The fifth section is the conclusion of this thesis, summing up three features ofGaoping dialect pronouns, namely the diversity of forms, the integrity of grammar,and the richness of pragmatics.
