Research On New Chinese Idioms Based On The Dictionary Of New Forms And New Usages

The emergence of new idioms is the product of language development and social change,it is in the process of using not only reflects the characteristics of traditional idioms,but also reflects the characteristics of the times.In this paper,the new idioms are studied based on 296 new idioms or idioms or new idioms with new meaning or new usage(this is called "new idiom"),which come from Dictionary of New Forms and New Usages.Mainly start from the synchronic analysis and diachronic analysis,to enrich and expand the research field,then strengthen the understanding of language development and usage.This paper is divided into four parts:Chapter 1 mainly introduces the research status,the purpose and significance of the study,the research method,the basic corpus of the study.Chapter 2 analyzes the source of the new idioms,mainly from three aspects: absorption,borrowing and new creation.Chapter 3 mainly analyzes the new idioms from three aspects: pronunciation,semantics and grammar.In terms of pronunciation,the traditional poems of the law is expressed in the new idioms.At the same time,the new idioms have a certain degree of change in the traditional rhythm.In the double sound,stacked rhyme and the supernatant,the new idioms and the traditional idioms are basically the same,which embodies the voice rhythm of the harmonic symmetry of the characteristics.In the semantic aspect,the semantic expression of the new idioms is mainly straightforward,rhetorical,descriptive.In terms of grammar,the noun new idioms in the grammatical structure is the enrich and development of the traditional noun idioms.In terms of grammatical function,noun idioms are consistent with traditional idioms in grammatical functions.Verbal new idioms inherit and develop the grammatical functions of traditional verbal idioms.Adjective new idioms are relatively few in grammatical form.In the grammatical function,the adjective new idioms are the reserved development of the traditional adjective idioms,which enrich the grammatical function of idioms to a certainextent.Chapter 4 analyzes the overall annual use status and frequency of the new idioms since2000,and then gets that the trend of the overall use of the new idioms is rise first and then decrease,which is following the general trend of new words.The overall use of new idioms during 2000-2016 is just like the "middle is big and two sides are small " spindle,and the distribution is very uneven.Through the statistical analysis of the use of new idioms,the following types are available: intermittent,periodic,growth,attenuated,raised and depressed.At the same time,according to the view of Mr.Liu Changzheng,we receive a total of 28high-frequency new idioms.The features of high frequency of the new idioms of language are just as the followings: in the voice,high-frequency new idioms more emphasis on the mix of tone and the rhyme;In terms of grammar,there is a special type in the predecessor of high-frequency new idioms,that is,in the structure of the "one or three",The new idioms in this form are different from those in the form “two or two” of traditional idioms.In the nature of grammar,high-frequency new idioms are mainly verbs and nouns,and the verbs take the largest proportion.
