A Study Of Attributive Possession In Shanxi Gaoping Dialect

The attributive possessive structure in Shanxi Gaoping dialect has three types : juxtaposition,Pr + three-person pronouns + Pd and Pr + possessive marks + Pd.Pr can be personal pronouns and nouns,Pd can be divided into kinship appellation nouns,social relations,place,institution nouns,body parts,item nouns and directional nouns.By exploring the collocation and combination of different possessor and possessed,we can explore the hierarchical sequence of the attributive possession in Gaoping dialect.The full text is divided into eight chapters:The first chapter,introduction.This paper briefly introduce the geographical location,dialect attribution,the current status of Gaoping dialect and predecessors' research history about attributive possessive affiliation,the purpose,research methods of this topic.System description and basic structure are also mentioned.The second chapter is the basic composition of attributive possessive structure in Gaoping dialect.Possessor,possessed and the structure are introduced in detail.Among them,the paper mainly discusses the use of personal pronouns in Gaoping dialect.The differences in the use of several types of possessive marks are also distinguished in this paper.The third chapter,kinship attributive possessions.This paper discusses the structure of kinship appellation nouns when Pr are personal pronouns and nouns respectively.According to whether to add possessive marks and whether Pr can be deleted,we can draw the hierarchical sequence of "personal pronouns + Pd " and "nouns(of person)+ Pd ",the two hierarchical sequences roughly correspond.The fourth chapter,social relations' possessions.Through the analysis of the collocation and combination of different Pr and social relations,it is concluded that the hierarchical sequence of social relations' possessions is:superior>level>lower.Social relations and kinship relations constituteroughly projective relationship,but not a vertical projection.The fifth chapter,place,institution nouns' possessions and directional nouns' possessions.When the core nouns are place nouns or institution nouns,which are generally collectivity and cannot be owned by individuals,emphasizing the possession between person and place.When Pr are nouns,connected by the possessive mark "he" or "jia",the distribution is complementary.When the core nouns are directional nouns,usually appear in the juxtaposition structure,the singular and plural forms have distinct meanings.The sixth chapter,body parts,item nouns' possessions.When the core nouns are parts nouns or item nouns,the function of singular and plural is clearly differentiated.This part also reflects the issue of animacy:personal pronouns> nouns(of person)> animal nouns> item nouns.The seventh chapter is the relative problems of attributive possessive structure.According to the semantic types of the core nouns,the dominance hierarchy of singular and plural isomorphic is derived: body parts nouns /item nouns > directional nouns> lower social appellation nouns > kinship appellation nouns> superior/level social appellation nouns > place/institution nouns.According to the psychological distance,the dominance hierarchy of the implicity and explicity of "de" is: body parts/item nouns>lineal descendants/youngers(the same generation),lower social appellation nouns> directional nouns > olders(the same generation)/ non-immediate elders,superior/level social appellation nouns,place/institution nouns>in-low elders/spouses >elders(blood relation).There are some default and envy phenomena in Gaoping dialect,which are supplemented in this section.The eighth chapter,conclusion.Summing up the above and drawing conclusions.
