Master is the country’s reserve force of the future scientific research, passion for their research and research capacity related to an important factor in the future development of science and technology and to improve the power and productivity of our country, the Academic procrastination status is an important factor affecting research enthusiasm and ability. But there is still very limited attention to graduate, about the Academic procrastination status’ study in recent years, most of the research are for college students, graduate population of less concern. Mentioned in previous studies, because high school student just rose up to university students, broke away the teachers, parents discipline bondage, free space suddenly increased, and the ability to self-management as well as the students themselves lacking, leading to college academic procrastination behavior peaked. Meanwhile, there are still some literature shows that procrastination graduate population is becoming an unavoidable reality. The author himself on the side of the students through observation and interviews, found that compared with ordinary college graduate, compared with greater autonomy learning space, more spontaneous exploration and creative learning, and inspection standards than the undergraduate learning outcomes and freedom, this learning model in a way that is more prone to academic procrastination. Social comparison is an individual by comparison with others, self-study-related information with others, or to determine their own course and thus find the same or different, guide their behavior associated with others. Numerous studies confirm the conclusions, comparing individuals with others to promote a certain degree of personal introspection and reflection, the decision of the individual self-concept, emotional state and prospects for the future planning. The biggest difference between graduate and undergraduate students and pupils learn that university learning with a clear professional orientation, directly related to the future career of students. Professional commitment of college students is the recognition of the specialty college and are willing to dedicate to learning the professional’s attitude.Reflect the recognition of university students have learned profession, love, willing to pay a good effort and behavior, such as these active learning’s willing. In previous studies, the relevant professional commitment to postgraduate students study is less, more for college students. As the undergraduate college entrance examination, majority of them don’t know what they will learned in future, thus resulting in undergraduate enrollment since a considerable number of students studying professional with a larger gap between their ideals, common professional commitment is not very high. Postgraduate as the countries’more advanced talents, didn’t have much research in professional commitment. Therefore, this study is focus on postgraduate’s academic procrastination situation,and explore the relationship between its academic procrastination and social comparison, professional commitment,try to find out higher social comparison tendency affect other two factors or not. Thereby suggestions and countermeasures for graduate management education, but also the selection of countries and companies to provide some reference methods talents, but also hope to help students understand their own, reducing academic procrastination, and promote the healthy development of psychology.In this study, Xi’an, Beijing, Chongqing, Dalian, Lanzhou dozens of colleges and universities graduate students from different grades and different professions were tested, with graduate Procrastination Scale, Social Comparison Scale and the Undergraduate commitment Scale420graduate students measured. And a statistical description of data, independent sample t test, analysis of variance, Pearson correlation analysis and multi-regression. The results showed that:1. More than70%of individuals among graduate groups exist academic procrastination.2. In the four learning activities, high to low on procrastination tendencies were read academic literature, mentor assignments, writing papers/work, published papers/studies. On the tendency of delaying scores, there were significant differences between gender, grade, professional. In recognition of the causes of the delay on the dimensions in the order of:self-management skills, sensation seeking, emotional management. Scores on the causes of the delay, there was no significant difference between the professional, there are significant differences between genders and grades.3. Procrastination tendencies students compare the differences in the social tendencies of different causes of high and low points were also delays in significant differences in social comparison orientation. Low tendency procrastinator there is no significant difference in the professional commitment, but different causes of delay in the professional level of commitment by some dimensions were significant or marginally significant.4. Social Comparison to some extent able explanatory causes delays, and professional commitment to relevance and interpretation of the scale of the delays were not significant.
