Space In The Cultural Logic Of Socialism

Since the early1990s, City Literature has sharply grown up. As a modern city, Shanghai is written continually and given amounts of imaginations. According to the novel Shanghai Morning, this article draws the attention on the development of Shanghai landscape and text writing as the blueprint and try to discover the formation of space imagination of Shanghai with the cultural logic of socialism.From the perspective of history, analysis of the formation of colonial modernity in Shanghai and revolutionary modernity imagination of space of Shanghai:simple comb from the late Qing Dynasty "sing song girls of Shanghai", the school of mandarin ducks and butterflies, Black Fiction and the street Shanghai gull written by Eileen Chang, in addition to the writing of the "new sensation" which contains Mu Shiying, Liu Naou and, Shi Zhecun as the representative, the modern colonial Shanghai was written. Also the left-wing revolutionary literature, from Mao Dun’s "Midnight", Jiang Guangci’s "shorts party" Ding Ling’s "Spring of Shanghai in1930", to Xia Yan’s "Shanghai eaves", explores the Shanghai revolutionary historical space production context for exploring the operation and transformation of space in "Shanghai morning" in the socialist cultural logic of power, to restore the historical context, from macro perspective, analysis two kinds of daily life between the bourgeoisie and the working class, landscape changes, colonial public space name and transformation, prisons and hospitals and other disciplinary space transformation of functions as well as the Shanghai city space added where the power of the space transformation finally, at the micro level, to further explore the socialist cultural logic, capitalists, women and youth in different body how the ideological and political discourse of discipline and the transformation of the main parts of space.
