Translation is an aesthetic creation practice. The relationship between author, translator, reader and text has become the research focus. The mutual communicationand interaction between translation subjects in practice activity has inspired the interestof research on initiative and passivity of subject and object. Inter-subjectivity, the scopeof philosophy, provides philosophical contemplation for translation studies. Habermas isan outstanding representative in the second generation of the Frankfurt School. Hisfamous theory of communicative action under practical theory has a profoundinspiration in the study of inter-subjectivity on translation. The mutual communicationand interaction between them demonstrates the three features of inter-subjectivity whichare oneness, disparity and construction. And these features with the theory ofcommunicative action can guide the translation practice to a harmonious and balancedstate. In this paper the author points out that from the point of practice philosophy in thebackground of the living world, we discuss and study inter-subjectivity of translation, and thus to create space for translation study and promote the harmonious developmentof translation.
