The theory of communicative action is the theoretical core of which Habermas understands later capitalist society and the realization of human liberation.Infulenced by the turn of language of western philosophy,Habermas disagrees with the approach by which past philosophers separates subject and object, hold that they were involeved in the priori network. So he put forward the concept of communication rationality that takes language as medium, the world of life as background, intersubjectivity as characteristic, when doing so he inherits the "critical theory" of the Frankfurt School, and refers to Marx's "theory of communication",Weber's "rationality theory" and Husserl's "theory of life world".He hopes that the instrumental rationality in the current society can be replaced with communication rationality in order to guide people's behavior and realize the rationalization of social life. With current society exposed to the alienation of communication and technology worship,Habermas argues that the rationalization of society can be achieved by limiting over-expansion of system, focusing on consultation and dialogue and improving existing ethics.Habermas' s theory of communicative action draws on the latest achievements of western philosophy,it is of significance for us to study capitalist society and develop Marxism. However, his theory has a dose of romanticism because it holds people can realize the rationalization of society by the way of language debate, thus does not exceed the ideological height of Marxist theory.
