According to field visit north zhai village of han dynasty tombs and use historical data,textology, philology, stylistics, sociology and the principles in the study of art history and so on,therefore the dissertation is divided four parts: historical environment and state, study subjectinvolve cultural significance, artistic features and value and impact to introduce the feature ofportrait stone. The purposes of dissertation study the style of engraving art, line modeling andcomposition features, and analyze the factors of inherit in development of the historical arttechniques.So the dissertation has four chapters, the chapter one introduce the general situation andgeographical location of han dynasty tombs, explain the local politics, culture, environment meetthe conditions to exist here; chapter two state the theme and connotation of the portrait stones,according to compare the theme with other area in Shan Dong province, and summarize theparticular content and theme of north zhai village portrait stones, chapter three main research thecarving techniques, modeling and composition, using a variety of carving and very skilled,modeling and composition inherited the pre-qin of simple and plain and have great creation,firstly, the line use very superb and proper density, the scale of character modeling is rational,secondly, relationship of images were correctly solved in the portrait stones on the large-scalescene of composition, therefore avoid “scattered” and “disordered”; chapter four explain theimpact and value of the north zhai village portrait stones from the point of exploitation andprotection. The dissertation is on the basis of introducing north zhai village of han dynasty tombsand put forward some new opinions.
