The dissertation focuses on the calligraphers group influenced by Qichang Dong in the late Ming and early Qing dynasties.The early Ming dynasty, after the Wumen Faction, represented by Qichang Dong’s Songjiang Faction gradually rise.Until the late Ming and early Qing. The calligraphers who esteemed Dong formulated a group in Songjiang area nearby Dong’s hometown. Besides, the northern china calligraphers group section who esteemed Dong was formed with the migration of southern calligraphers. The formulation of the Dong-esteemed group was associated with the cultural polices in the early Qing.We studies of the interaction among the Dong-esteemed calligraphers in the early Qing. We discuss the calligraphy contact between Quan Shen and Emperor Kang-hsi. Shen played an very important role in the propagate of Qichang Dong from south to north. And the prevalent of Dong’s handwriting style caused by the communication between Emperor Kang-hsi and Quan Shen. Besides, we take Quan Shen and Hongxu Wang, two important Dong-esteemed calligraphers, as a case to study the interaction of calligraphers. We analyze the handwriting innovation of the representatives of Dong-esteemed calligraphers, including Shibiao Zha and Chengying Jiang. Also the calligraphy exposition in the early Qing influenced by the Dong-esteemed handwriting style is analyzed. The part takes short comments of Tianpingzai handwriting and picture made by Zhao Zhang as an example. The inheritance relationship of calligraphy exposition between Zhao Zhang and Qichang Dong is analyzed. Furthermore, the copy standpoint of Zhao Zhang and Qichang Dong is compared.
