A Study On The Current Situation And Countermeasures Of Shame In Rural Middle School Students

The sense of shame is not only an important category of the traditional morality, but also part of modern moral system. It is not only the foundation of non view forms, the characterization of self-esteem, but also the spirit to resist the temptation of non-performing and the expectation of moral education. During the present socialist moral construction, the cultivation of shameful sense has important practical significance to improve vocational students’ moral personality and carry out the strategy of governing the state by morality.Based on analyzing and comparing a variety of views, the paper defines the connotation, analyzes the psychological mechanism of forming, expounds the characteristics and several stages of development and explains its function.On this basis, the investigation of the status quo of sense of shame was carried out with the shame scale in two vocational schools of Tong Shan zone.Results show that Shame scores and personality, behavior, ability of shame on three dimensions had no significant difference between girls and boys; girls on the physical dimension of shame was higher than boys; special course students personality shame was higher than comprehensive class students; comprehensive class students’ ability of shame was higher than special course students and so on. This paper discusses the reasons behind these phenomena. The fundamental purpose of investigation lies in protecting and cultivating the vocational school students’ virtue of shame, eliminating the moral indifference and interpersonal barriers due to the lack of shame and indifference, promoting the perfection of the individual moral personality, realizing the optimization of the national moral feeling and making the whole society operate and develop harmoniously and orderly in the moral atmosphere of Shangrong shame and in harmony moral emotional influence and infiltration, which finally promote the further development of moral education project.How to protect and cultivate students’ sense of shame? In view of the present situation of rural secondary vocational school students’ sense of shame, this paper discussed from the following ten aspects:Puberty education teaches students to accept,;The environmental edification make the students change; Class construction promote students shift,;Model demonstration play a role of a bystander.Put forward the targeted countermeasures, have greatly enriched the shame feeling education. The party’s18th CPC National Congress put morality education as the fundamental task of education, which said we should let every child become a useful person. Yuan Guiren, China Minister of Education, also said that we should fully implement morality education project. The investigation of the status of rural secondary vocational school students and the exploration of the education countermeasures will benefit the students’ moral cognition improvement, the establishment of moral identity, the development of moral habits and the establishment of moral belief, so as to promote the construction of morality education project effectively.
