Since the beginning of this century, there has been a tide of bilingual teaching in the educational field, during which many schools and several subjects have been involved. However, because of many problems, such as teaching materials, qualified teachers and practical teaching effects, the tide hasn’t become the main force of the education reforms. Up to now, only a few foreign language middle schools and some universities keep carrying on bilingual teaching. Though the tide has passed, it is highly necessary to have a deeper second thought on the bilingual teaching, which meets the needs of the development of the society and the quality education. Especially in the special teaching environment of foreign language schools, history bilingual teaching undoubtedly has its necessaries, conditions and practical values. The writer plans to have a deeper thought on the history bilingual teaching in foreign language schools, based on her bilingual teaching practice and specific teaching cases. She aims to find out the potential value of bilingual history teaching, focusing on the practical value and problems. Her study will promote the combination of history teaching and quality education as well as search for a new method to make history teaching more globalized.
