This paper explores teaching and teaching designs of lyrical proses in intermediate and advanced Chinese integrated courses.Teaching lyrical proses serve to be a hard part of intermediate and advanced Chinese integrated courses. Three aspects are mainly involved in teaching:cultural background teaching, discourse structure teaching, and rhetoric teaching. In this paper teaching characteristics and principles are discussed and teaching programs are designed.This paper consists of five parts:1. After summarizing the research status related to this topic, reasons and significances for this topic as well as the proposal of research objectives and methods are presented.2. The Definition of the lyrical proses and a preliminary induction of the content and features of teaching.3. The principles of cultural backgrounds are concluded after five sets of commonly used intermediate and advanced Chinese integrated courses materials are statistically analyzed and teaching principles and programs are proposed.4. After concluding the characters and teaching principles based on the research status, a design of discourse structural teaching plan is presented.5. Rhetoric teaching principles are proposed and a program is designed after the characters of rhetoric in lyrical proses are analyzed.This research serves as a deeper exploration of the difficult parts of lyrical proses teaching in intermediate and advanced Chinese integrated courses. The aim of the research is to provide some help in teaching of lyrical proses.
