As it elaborates the progress of Ru Gao Kites from four keyareas: cultural traits, historical evolution, generational lineage, development andthe current inheritance circumstance, in particularly the differing point madebetween Nan Tong kites to Ru Gao Kites, is a refreshingly new gist to this article.Upon referencing to the representative case of "Guo Shi Kites", generationaldifferences in inheritors has been analyzed in aspects such as individualcraftsmanship, craft traits, and contributions to the family business. By infusingthe research of the rise and decline of the century old business Guo Shi Kites,and paying particular attention to address the condition in the recent fall of thepast decade. This article aims to pursus the truth, as objective and subjectivereasons have been inspected behind this downfall. More so based on the result ofmethodical research, to present my own perspective in terms of the conservationand inheritance of Ru Gao Kites.
