Hiromatsu Wataru,(1933-1994) was regarded as one of the most influential philosophers and Marxist theorists in Japan’s postwar ideological circle. His Marxist theory research mainly revolves around two aspects:one aspect is the historical representation of Marx and Engels’s original ideas, such as hiromatsu’s text interpretation. The other aspect is interpretative reconstruction of Marx and Engel’s thought, such as versachlichung limbs tectonics and the world picture of thing.This thesis tends to explore the world picture of thing theory’s practical meaning and transcending modernity value. It contains two aspects:on the one hand, through the deep interpretation of the world view of things, this thesis will illustrate the difference between the world view of object and the world picture of thing, and reveals the practical meaning of the world picture of thing. Thing is different from object, and it has more compatible, specific, creative and internal elements and characteristics. Therefore, world picture of thing can become people’s the theoretical foundation of practical thought. On the other hand, it will interpret the world picture of thing constructing practical theory’s function and ability on the transcending modernity questions. This thesis argues that hiromatsu’s world picture of thing’s practical orientation locates on the choice of transcending modernity theoretical path, which overcomes and transcends modernity theoretical content and practical orientation lie to seek for its own national spirit shelter and political status.In fact, hiromatsu’s world picture of thing theory and its interpretation on modernity, especially on Japan critical interpretation of modernity practice, which is based on reality of Japanese society and upon the basis of people’s world view of modernity experience. Logically, the essence of modernity is on people, as a subjectivity, whose pursue and practice is a kind of thing rather than an object. Therefore, it needs world view of things, rather than the world view of object. The innovate of this thesis is that it comparatively concentrative analyzes and interprets the practical meaning, function and meaning of modernity on the things in the world picture of thing, and points out the historical reasons, modernity situation and transcending internal spirit appeal concealed in hiromatsu’s things theory. Different from the previous interpretation on hiromatsu’s relationship ontology, the author holds the argument that we should pay attention to the linguistic factor, social factor, cultural factor, and nationality and such comprehensive and practical factors.At the same time, we should realize that hiromatsu’s world picture of thing theory’s basis is not smooth. It has many hardships and problems on its limitation constructed by practice theory from itself. For example, the world picture of thing is not a progressive and practical theory, and its obvious representation is limbs tectonics theory. However, some scholars point out that, hiromatsu’s world picture of thing is an external shape of phenomenology, and it can not reach the essence of theory. From the perspective of reference,"Stones from other hills may serve to polish jade." That is to say, hiromatsu’s world picture of thing theory and its transcending modernity structure can bring us some beneficial enlightenment on the road of Chinese modernity. The author considers that the world picture of thing is similar to Japanese tea ceremony and its external form and relationship is its content. This external performance could not affect people’s world value, which is exactly what is in the process of the modernization of China. The practical construction represents the relationship and status which will be given a stipulation to the things, and this internal quality has a positive effect on transcending modernity.
