The word "technology" is the keyword of a core of Marcuse thought in the new sensibility, The aesthetic theory of Marcuse is based on his deep understanding of the developed capitalist industrial society。 He believes that industrial society dominated by science that is essentially a "sick society", On the one hand, the developed modern science and technology has brought great way to material prosperity and material needs, but on the other hand, the modern society has entered the stage of complete alienation, modern society has become a one-dimensional society. In both political system, economic system, science, technology, art and everyday thinking, there is no case outside the tendency of the same kind of posture, the same voice.How to treat the technology in the current situation, so that human can get material needs, but also can be free to fly is a problem before human. In the critical analysis of the civilized society, Marcuse eventually found in the existing society, science and sustained implementation of rationality will eventually reach a pole, is the implementation of the whole society and each individual repression, while increasingly mechanized labor.
