A Study Of The Language Structure Of Li Mengyang 's Poems

From the perspective of poetic text analyzing, it is an important method of poetry study to combine linguistic and poetics, lay emphasis on close reading and focus on the characteristics, images and word appliance of the literary work.Li Mengyang is the advocate of Restoring Ancient Ways Movement which maintains to imitate Han Wei archaism and the modern style of Tang Dynasty, as he was the leader of Qian Qi Zi(前七子)He created more than one thousand poems during his life. It will contribute to the comprehension of Li Mengyang’s literature position and his literature creation if we study the internal texture of his poetry language from the perspective of text analysis.This thesis, which follows the logic mentioned above, can mainly be divided to five chapters from the aspects as follows:the relation between Li’s poetic advocation and his literature creation, the formation of Li’s poetic language structure, the creation of the literary images as well as the sentence and word building of Li’s poetry. The first chapter is an overall understanding of Li’s poetics. The first section of this chapter combs the historical contexts of the "QingZhi Wanqia"(情质宛洽)feature, poetic connotation and era significance of his advocation. The second section focuses on the relation between the advocation of Li and his poetic creation. The second chapter studies the origin of Li’s poetic language structure. There are two factors, that is his own experience and the exploit of past literature, contributes to the characteristics of Li’s poetry. The last three chapters target at the feature of Li’s poetry by analyzing the sentence and text building, image creation and the choice of the word. These three chapters unite to one whole step by step presenting a certain feature of Li’s language structure from the aspects of text, sentence, word and image.
