Among those faces of Chinese directors in the crowd, Huo Jianqi is the one of the faces who is easily recognized all because his gifted personal style which sparkling his insistence and efforts. This thesis intends to study on Huo Jianqi’s six significant movies, including "Mountain, People and Dog","A Love of Blueness","Life Show","Warm","The seal of love" and "Falling Flowers". These selected movies are having strong linkage with Modern and Contemporary Literature and History. The thesis tries to expand the movie to the text and history as a frame of reference, and analyze how movies in the novel with historical figures to create their own unique image world experienced the original framework.:The first and second sections focus on analysis from Novel to Film. Chapter I focused on three angles of the conflict, the characters, geographical and cultural contradictions. Chapter II discussed from a narrative point of view, detail, visual film narrative techniques used in the adaptation process. The third chapter is concerned about its aesthetic style movie director in the shaping and expression of the historical figures to stick with the problems. Chapter III is concerned about the historical figure shaping and expression of the films which showing the insistence of the director’s aesthetic style problems.
