Fairness and justice is the inherent requirement of upholding and developingsocialism with Chinese characteristics as well as the foundation to realize therejuvenation of the Chinese dream. the third plenary session of the18stressed thatdeepening the reform should take it as the starting point and the foothold to promotesocial fairness and justice as well as improve people’s well-being. It also furtherhighlighted the important position of promoting social fairness and justice incomprehensively reform. Therefore, To have a further discussion on the issue ofdistributive justice is the inevitable requirement of building a harmonious socialistsociety. Amartya Sen is dedicated to the study of poverty and hunger which has beenhailed as "the conscience of economics". After he won the1998Nobel Prize ineconomics, his idea achieved increasingly attention from people.Sen’s distributive justice thought is distributive justice idea of equality ofability,taking "substantive liberty" as the research view and "capabilities" as theresearch method.Sen thinks the essence of the development is to expand freedomwhile the people’s quality life depends on practical ability,so we should also payattention to the subject status of the overall development of the society and individuals.Sen also proposed the idea of global justice. As an important part of the distributivejustice thought, global justice thought has its great practicality and superiority forsolving the problems of today’s global widespread justice. It also provides substantialguidance for the world to deal with globalization. Under the background ofglobalization and present situation in our country, based upon capability as itsresearch methods, Sen provides the theory and practical help for our country to furtheremancipate the mind, develop the social productivity, enhance the vitality of the socialand get rid of the defects of management system from the perspective of real freedom.
