And researching and testifying is the reflection of these attitudes in translation practice. This thesis is composed by two parts, translation and discussion. The original text of translation part comes from a research paper aiming at testifying if the so-called Shakespeare’s playtexts are created and composed by Shakespeare. Starting from the historical development of playtexts and existing research accomplishment of predecessors, the original paper quotes a great number of playtexts of Renaissance period as examples to support the author’s point of view. This paper contains the knowledge of history, play as well as literature. Therefore, before we translate such kind of paper, we should first get well known of historical background of playtexts in Renaissance, and then testify each proper nouns and terms, like various author’s name and works in Renaissance and numerous quotations from some play works. The second part of this thesis discusses the origins of each research and the methods of testifying in the translation, which in turn, proving the importance of researching and testifying in translating papers.
