Folk thoughts shows the uniquecharm of Zhang Cheng-zhi’s literature world.Zhang Cheng-zhi’s literary work originates from Wu zhu mu qin Grassland ofInner Mongolia. The unique life style in grassland become his folk traditions sources.In his early period work, he used poetic aesthetic approach to describe the uniquebeauty of folk world. His representative work Black Horse and Green Night strongly expressedhis respect and identity of folk human beauty and suffering consciousness. Threeproses named Dali Peacock、Set Fire to the Dark Night and the New Year in Xiaozhai,which record and narrate his life experience in Yunnan, showed his ideal folk orderand the nobility of folk culture. Second, due to the identify with the people and life inthe bottom, he came to a kind of bottom mind which is a cultural view originatesfrom life experience in the bottom, it objects to all culture hegemonies includedwestern hegemony and wants to seek the possibilities of multiform culturecoexistence in multiple conflicts.
