Microblog is the important symbol and feature of society moving into the era ofmicroblog. More and more young people have been keen to distribute weibo and paidattention to others’ microblog and so on. Many studies have found that lots of youngpeople, when tweeting, love self-disclosure more. The main intention of this essay isto probe the differences of college students about self-disclosure in realisticenvironment and microblogging platform including real-name microblog andanonymous microblog. After the statistics and analysis of the data, we can get thefollowing main conclusions:1. Compared with realistic environment, college students’ self-discloures aremore frequent in anonymous and real-name microblogging platform.2. For diverse disclosure themes, there are differences as follow:(1)To the contents of college students’ self-disclosures, there are significantdifferences in the three scenarios including realistic environment、 real-name andanonymous microblogging platform: College students are inclined to disclosethemselves in microblogging platform on four dimensions including view andattitude、hobby、money and personality; as for the contents of study and work, collegestudents express more frequently in real-name microblogging platform; with respectto the contents of body, there are no significant differences on all three platforms.(2) For college students’ self-disclosures, there are no gender divide andsignificant differences in realistic environment and microblogging platform.(3).To male college students’ self-disclosures, there are significant differencesbetween realistic environment and anonymous microblog and significant differencesbetween anonymous microblog and real-name microblog.(4). To female college students’ self-disclosures, there are significant differencesbetween realistic environment and anonymous microblog and significant differencesbetween anonymous microblog and real-name microblog. (5).There are no significant differences among the students’ self-disclosures ofdifferent ages.3. For college students, appropriate self-discloures may promote mental healthand hold a positive attitude toward life. Self-disclosure exist benefits as follow:solving Psychological problems,one’s equilibrium, search for identity, spiritoverstep, self-actualization and so on.
