The granddaughter’s blame hurt the old man deeply. Somehow, the old man masters the use of a smart phone after being taught by a kid, whose grandfather is rescued by him afterwards. So in the end, everyone buries the hatchet and be a happy family once again.The creative purpose of the micro movie Cell Phone is to raise rethink of a modern family forms and concerns about the empty-nest elderly’s declining years. As a movie aiming at a realistic style, the director uses a natural light in the course of film production and non-professional actors. The plot is promoted smoothly by events and dramatic scenes, which combine for a realistic humor. When it comes to characters, the film uses the method of contrasting and foiling to highlight the protagonist, and at the same time, keep the supporting actor’s own characteristic to avoid being flat. However, there are some shortcomings for the lack of better equipment, shooting space and editing techniques. This film basically uses fixed lens, which leads to less movement lens and a monotonous camera language. The film starts with some minor issues which come from the director’s own experience. By using real events and prototypes, the director succeed in avoid being pseudo-emotional and excessively dramatic and make it easier for the audience to accept. In the meantime, the director arrange the film accurately by a reasonable relationship so that the film can proceeded smoothly, attract more interest and inspire more thinking.
