Beitang Shuchao(hereinafter refers to Shuchao) is written by Yu Shinan at opisthodome of Mishusheng and finished in Sui dynasty. It is the earliest encyclopedia which is relatively well preserved in nowadays. According to the records of Sui Shu·Jingjizhi, Shuchao has 174 volumes, 160 of them have been preserved in nowadays, and it preserved a large of valuable references of Wei, Jin, Southern and Northern dynasties period and the period before that. Because of its vital effects on textual criticism and compilation of references before Tang dynasty, based on Suishu·Jingjizhi, this paper counted and reorganized the historical references recorded on Beitang Shuchao from the aspect of collating ancient references. This paper emphasis on three aspects including the discussion of the meaning of reorganizing Shuchao, and the research status of Shuchao; the reorganization of historical references quoted in Shuchao from bibliography and bibliopoly aspects, and the carding of version’s origin and the inherited relationships between different versions which had not been written by ancient people; the compilation of historical reference content recorded in sectional collation and annotation edition of Shuchao. |
