A Study On The Five Counties In The Northwest Of Anhui Province

This paper chooses the five counties in Northwestern of Anhui Province as the survey object.Because,these five places are close to each other and there is little difference between their dialect.So,we choose Yingshang dialect which is my hometown dialect as the focus,and try to do some research.Yingshang is located in the northwest of Anhui Province,near to Huai River and Ying River.Yingshang dialect belongs to the Xinbeng piece of Zhongyuan Mandarin.To now,there is little research about The Yingshang and its neighbour dialect.So this paper we give the details of the Yingshang dialect and make a comparison with them,and try to find the same place and different place.And we wish to provide new material and perspective for Dialect partition.This paper includes eight chapters in all.Chapter one is an introduction about the location,populationof the fivecounties in Northwestern of Anhui Province and so on.Chapter two describes the location,population of Yingshang.Chapter three says the phonetic system and introduces the features of Yingshang dialect by initials,finals,tones and the match of initials and finals. we get its Homonyms table.Chapter four,we make a contrast with Mandarin.Chapter five triestofind the evolution rules of Yingshang dialect through the contrast with Medieval allophones.Chapter six,we give the Homonyms table.Chapter seven,we describe the words of Yingshang dialect,it almost represents other counties,we also describethe dialect word of marriage customs.Chapter eight,we compare,Yingshang dialect with other counties,to find the same place and different place. The last chapter gives a conclusion of the whole paper,we give a conclusion of Yingshang dialect and reveals its differences with peripheral county dialect.
