Chopin is one of the representatives of Romantic music, and his music is concentrated mainly in the field of piano music, to which Chopin has made tremendous contributions. Since his piano melody is beautiful, wildly, lyrical and poetic, Chopin is known as the "poet of the piano."As a Polish composer, Chopin’s music reflects distinctive characteristics of the Polish nation. Mazurka, a Polish village dance, hence became one of Chopin’s creative genres. Like Chopin’s diary, Mazurka depicts Chopin’s brilliant creative career, throughout his life. Today, Chopin mazurkas have become indispensable tracks for piano performing and teaching. The success of Chopin Mazurka in terms of creation and genre, not only provides valuable documents for the world’s piano music, but also sets a good example for mining consolidation and development of national folk music. Based on this, this paper, in the case of mazurkas (Op.17), provides analysis and interpretation on dance music creation and performance, in order to provide a reference for performing and teaching practice works. The changes in positions of accent is one of the characteristics for Polish Mazurka Dance. In Chopin’s mazurkas (Op.17), accented performance of the song accordingly becomes a prominent feature. This paper focuses and develops on the accent of mazurkas (Op.17). First, this paper tries to analyze sheet music and associated text information, and to explore the accented performance characteristics of Chopin’s mazurkas (Op.17); On this basis, the paper focuses on accent analysis and music performing process interpretation. Accordingly, this paper is divided into five parts:Chapter 1:Introduction section includes reason for choosing the topic, research status, lack of significance of the topic and other aspects.Chapter 2:This chapter launched an analysis on the accent creative approach of Chopin’s mazurkas (Op.17). Chopin’s mazurkas stress can take on many forms. First of all, conflicts between beats accented and accent with rhythms can highlight accent, and rests often appears instead of dotted rhythm. Meanwhile, stress often appears in the second beat, and beat stress position three conflict. Second, the conflict between accented beats and beats accented highlights, in Chopin’s mazurkas it often occurs in the right-hand man of different beats, such as a hand two beats, three beats the other hand, the resulting conflict accented beats to highlight the mazurkas accent. Finally, Chopin also accented by the expression of different ornamentation. For instance, through the use of different decorates such as Yi Yin and Boeing to emphasize accent sounds.Chapter 3:On the basis of music analysis on the second chapter, this chapter, focusing on stress analysis, is to explore Chopin’s mazurkas (Op.17) performance processing interpretation. Because mazurkas accent is rather special, if the player does not analyze the characteristics of a clear accent, he is probably to lose direction of play, and the audience also will also get confused and incomprehensible. Through discussion, we believe that, on the one hand, the player needs to focus on the combination of subtle changes in the rhythm of the music, reflecting the freedom of Chopin music; on the other hand, the player should be combined the characteristics of rhythm and tempo, emphasizing accent staggered between both hands.Chapter 4:The conclusion of this study is to sum the entire study. This paper argues that stress is a prominent feature of Chopin’s Mazurkas Dance (Op.17). Chopin performance stress through different creative approach, and accordingly, we must also make music performances interpretation in these areas. What’s more, in conclusion part, the paper also describes the direction of future research in relevant field.
