| Starting from the birth of children, family education has been playing an important role in their physical and psychological development. It is easier to promote children’s all-round development by means of scientific family education. The author translates two chapters in the Raising a Successful Child, a book on family education, hoping to help Chinese parents to educate their children in a more scientific parenting way. There are lots of abstract nouns and pervasive sentences in this book with informative and vocative text characteristics. Understanding the meaning of abstract nouns and conveying information of the persuasive sentences are the keys to translation. Based on all those questions, the author summarizes proper translation skills with cases analysis to provide reference for the translation of family education texts. |
