Study On The Protection And Utilization Of Industrial Heritage In Harbin

Industrial heritage is the brilliant characterization of industrial civilization, a product of the modern historical development as well, the initial results of social civilization, and an important part of modern heritage. Harbin is one of the cornerstones to the Chinese industry. Harbin has the important plants which support China’s industrial development during the early days and the growth process of New China,makes great contribution to Chinese development. After the reform and opening up, all these large state-owned enterprises and assets face to the industrial restructuring and industrial restructuring, rebuilding their industry model and adjusting the industrial structure are inevitable. Due to the original model has been dropped behind and the new model has entered, a large number of old industrial enterprises are moved away from urban areas or demolition and renovation, even destroyed in the new industrial restructuring, these industrial heritage protection have become an important issue and new tasks. There are about more than 150 industrial heritage in Harbin, having much rich historical value, social value, architectural value and technical value. But a growing number of old factories face to the fact of renovation, demolition, even have disappeared. Industrial Heritage has been unavoidable,it should be an important part of municipal building and the development of urban civilization. The industrial heritage records the history of China’s industrial development, carries the human spirit of Harbin,is the common heritage of mankind and a valuable asset. This paper based on field study and research of Harbin Electrical Machinery Plant, Bearing Plant, Boiler Plant, Turbine Plant, Measuring Tool Plant, Machinery Factory, investigates and analysis from the aspects of plant construction, technical value, the surrounding environment. Sorting out the current situation, the values and characteristics in Harbin industrial heritage,defining Harbin Industrial Heritage protection’s subjects and levels, putting forward conservation and reuse ways and means of Harbin industrial heritage combined with thecase of industrial heritage protection at home and abroad.
