Analysis Of The Protection And Reusing Of Industrial Heritages In Jiangxi Province

The industry in Jiangxi province has a long history. In the pre-industrial age, allkinds of handicraft workshops had existed in this area, and some of them even tilltoday. These hand workshops left a lot of historical remains. In modern times, theindustry in Jiangxi has been rapid development with industrial and regionalcharacteristics. However, due to the rapid development of the city, many factories losttheir original functions, so they have been abandoned. Many of them are culturalheritage with high valuable. The industrial heritages recorded the accomplishments ofhuman in science and technology, culture and aesthetic. Industrial heritages are a newkind of cultural heritages in recent years. And they have been paid attention by moreand more people. But industrial heritages are difference from the traditional culturalheritages, so the industrial heritages have not obtained the enough value at present.Many industrial heritages disappeared in the tide of the urbanization inadvertently.Therefore, the protection of industrial heritages has been crunch time.In this paper, based on the investigation of several industrial heritages inNanchang and analysis of the domestic and international cases, combined with allkinds of industrial heritage research, and according to the programmatic documentsabout industrial heritages, a value evaluation system with characteristics of Jiangxihas been establish. Oriented by the value elements, the feasibility has been discussedwhich about the modes of the protection and reuse of the industrial heritages inNanchang apply to the others in Jiangxi province. This paper includes four parts:"Introduction" states the background, purpose and significance of this research, andintroduces the overseas and domestic research status of industrial heritage. Thesecond part analyses the formation process and the range of the industrial heritages ofJiangxi. This part also discusses the status of Nanchang in Jiangxi and relations withthe other cities. The third part analyses the value factors of the industrial heritages,and established a value evaluation system with Jiangxi local characteristics.According to the characteristics of industrial heritages, the fourth part discusses thefeasibility which about the modes of the protection and reuse in Nanchang apply tothe others in Jiangxi, and puts forward the strategies and suggestions.
