Lu Guimeng was a scholar in the last time of Tang Dynasty. At the same time, he was a hermit too. Quantity of Lu Guimeng’s object-chanting poetry was in the third row in Tang Dynasty. In the last time of Tang Dynasty, it was in the first row. Although there is a large number of Lu Guimeng’s object-chanting poetry, many scholars didn’t pay attention to it. According to the quantity and quality of Lu Guimeng’s object-chanting poetry, I think it is worth being studied. So I decide to study it.I collected Lu Guimeng’s object-chanting poetry, and added up it. Then I pointed out its characteristic, thinking, art and influence. The paper is divided into six parts:The first part is the introduction. It introduces Lu Gumeng and the research situation of Lu Guimeng’s object-chanting poetry in thirty years.The second part is the second chapter. It determines range and quantity of Lu Guimeng’s object-chanting poetry, and points its characteristic.The third part is the third chapter. It analyzes thinking of Lu Guimeng’s object-chanting poetry, including sarcasm, privacy and feelings.The fourth part is the fourth chapter. It discourses art achievement of Lu Guimeng’s object-chanting poetry by four aspects: main styles, technique of describing objects, art innovation and innovation ways.The fifth part is the fifth chapter. It illustrates straightforward and deep influence of Lu Guimeng’s object-chanting poetry after Tang Dynasty. So Lu Guimeng’s object-chanting poetry should have a place in object-chanting poetry circles of Tang and Song Dynasty.The sixth part is the summary. It summarizes contents from chapter two to chapter five.The paper sorts out basic situation of Lu Guimeng’s object-chanting poetry, and tries to find values of them. According to the research situation of Lu Guimeng’s object-chanting poetry, only famous of them are approved by scholars. The others are either ignored or evaluated low. For example, poems describing fishing, firewood, tea and wine are generally evaluated as duplicate, boring, no meaning or worthless. I think that these poems show poet’s hermit psychology in the aspect of thought, and expand poetry theme in the aspect of art. In addition, there is some discussion in the poems. So, these poems are not worthless. The paper also puts forward that Lu Guimeng’s object-chanting poetry has characteristics of narrow themes and many life physical images. They are not only drawbacks, but also advantages. Because theme development is the biggest innovation in the aspect of art.
