A Study Of English - Chinese Translation Of English Majors From The Perspective Of Relevance Translation Theory

Relevance translation theory firstly interpret the translation activities from the prespective of cognition.Translation was seen as verbal behavior which is related closely to the mechanism of the brain.The object of translation study is the mechanism of the brain,that is to say,to acquire author’s intention and pass it to the reader is the aim of translator. Relevance translation theory offers a new perspective to study translation and cultivate a more perfect theory framework.At the same time,the theory was applied in numbers of area.Among the various fields,the work which study on TEM-8 is rare. Based on the founction that it could have a test about student’s all-round abilities,the importance of TEM-8 is becoming more and more prominent.And the score of TEM-8 has become an impotent criterion to measure the standard of teaching. General literature works and speaking are two types of genre among the test of TEM-8 which have larger number.Based on those two types of genre,to study the translation part of TEM-8 from the sight of relevance translation theory.
