The 18 th Chinese communist party congress actively promoted the culture industry, the film industry is the frontier of the development of cultural industry, and cinemas are the terminal to directly realize the value of the film industry. Due to the rapid development in recent years, there is a trend that the management level of cinemas is uneven and the homogenization is serious, improving the operation and management of cinemas are important measures to promote the healthy development of cinema industry. This paper first analyzes the status of cinema in the downstream of cultural industry, summarized the content and scope of the cinemas of operation management, and reviews the major theories of the cinemas management; analyzed the problems existing in current cinema industry in China and the opportunities and challenges; and then compared the domestic typical cinema management case to the foreign case. On this basis, this paper mainly discussed the main goal, strategy and key direction of product management, marketing management, technology management, financial management and other aspects. In product management, the focus is the integration of upstream and downstream of viewing service, advertisement, extended product. In promotion management, the focus is to establish a management mode suit for the second or third level cities from cultivation the consciousness of viewing, paying attention to regional needs, combining with other entertainment project. In technology management, the focus is to follow up the development of film technology, select and apply new technology, keep in the forefront. In financial management, the focus is to construct a perfect internal control system, pay attention to the flow of funds risk control, strengthen the control of daily cash inflow and outflow.
