| As the number of contracted photographers employed in commercial galleries has been growing gradually these years, increasing number of people are engaged in this career. Sales status of commercial galleries and sales cases of representative photographers were analyzed in this article to summarize the sales patterns of their best-selling pictures. Statistics regarding approximate yearly expenditure of full time contributors was collected. Besides, receipt and payment of galleries contracted photographers were analyzed. Present situations of photographers’work and life were also investigated and corresponding countermeasures were proposed.This article is possessed of efforts in two aspects. On one hand, the required professional qualities of commercial gallery contracted photographers were explored. On the other hand, hidden poignancies of photographers were revealed, providing suggestions and occupational planning to youngsters who are willing to be engaged in this career. |
