At present, independently established higher occupation number of institutions and enrollment of more and more, therefore, our country higher occupation colleges occupation education needs sustained, healthy, rapid development. According to the relevant provisions of the state and the occupation education fast development, the national Ministry of education of English Teaching in Higher Vocational Colleges and the students after graduation employment direction put forward clearly defined. The higher occupation education is to train the production, technology, service, management and other fields of expertise, thus, higher occupation English teaching should emphasize the application and practical. However, China’s higher occupation English teaching present situation is not optimistic. The project is aimed at higher occupation college students’ English practical level of research, to higher occupation English teaching status of the research and puts forward the corresponding countermeasure, improve the students’ English practical level of higher occupation.The author of the domestic and International English practical current situation undertook study, educator, Hamer and Krashen in Higher Occupation College English teaching are explored and put forward the corresponding theory, to our country higher occupation English education pointed out clear direction; some of the domestic advanced occupation universities and teachers according to the conditions of our country and students characteristics of the targeted teaching exploration, the exploration is more around the student to listen, say, read, write, translate the comprehensive development and so on, as far as possible advocate hierarchical classification teaching, strive to achieve the teaching material of typical, thought, the sense of the times, interest and the simulation of.From the literature method, investigation method and the comparison method to understand the higher occupation college English teaching present situation, grasp the higher occupation English learning situation, visited Jilin to save three higher occupation education, selected three schools are Siping Professional College, Liaoyuan Vocational Technical College, Career Academy in Yanbian. Using questionnaire and interview to three school teachers and students carried out a detailed research, the main research object is three higher occupation education students. Survey found that higher occupation college students mostly rural failed in the college entrance examination students, not only to poor academic achievement, learning motivation is not clear, these students have a lack of confidence or blind self-confidence, partial section seriously, think English is their own learning obstacle. Higher occupation English teaching situation is not optimistic, teaching guiding ideology is not clear, teaching material is out of step with the times, professional and teaching content are not closely linked, evaluation system, English single assignment of unreasonable," group" teaching system still exists and so on, are the problems in the teaching. Visit the higher occupation English teacher, learned in conversation English teachers’ teaching methods can not adapt to the students and the requirements of society, higher occupation English teachers cannot be fully understood why do students learn English, cause the teaching to the exam-oriented education, as teachers of English are an English major, so the students’ professional knowledge is known, not the English and professional combination teaching.The research found that higher occupation college English practical teaching there are many problems, aiming at these problems, put forward the corresponding countermeasures, on the higher occupation English practical teaching reform, perfect the higher occupation English teaching, for all walks of life in China to provide quality professional talents.
