| The teaching of Sight singing and ear training as compulsory course of musicmajor students get more and more attention in recent years. It is directly related tostudents’ solid basic music knowledge and whether qualified to continue studying.The knowledge of teaching material is from textbooks; teaching quality depends onteaching methods and textbooks.1990s is the peak period of solfeggio discipline teaching material constructionand many music education and educators were involved in the compilation ofteaching materials, which greatly promoted the teaching material construction. WhileSolfege des Solfeges by Hellry Lemoine and G. Carulli, published by French LemoinePress, is considered as one of the most important solfeggio textbooks in terms of TheNew Grove Dictionary of Music and Musicians. This series of solfeggio textbookshas10volumes composing of34branch volumes. From1844to1918, it took a longtime to complete the series and it has been printed more than10,000,000. France isone of the original places of solfeggio, so it is worthwhile undertaking for us to studyand research Solfege des Solfeges in theory and practice.This thesis contains an introduction, five chapters and a conclusion. Chapter I isan overview of solfeggio textbooks. Chapter II is an overview of French textbookSolfege des Solfeges. Chapter III is an analysis of the textbook, discussing the uniqueaspects of this material. Chapter IV analyzes its characteristics. Chapter V is therevelation of the text on China’s solfeggio teaching and proposes personal suggestionson textbook writing.Through the analysis of French textbook Solfege des Solfeges, the thesis exploresits layout characteristics and the relationship with other exercises. On the basis ofprevious studies, this thesis further discusses the characteristics of the textbook andgives personal opinions. |
