The first part of this paper introduces the painters`social background. Their life haveundergone a dynastic change and social unrest. It shows unique painting style in anxioussocial atmosphere. I will comb the background that is formed the different styles from twoaspects of historical background and painters`minds.The second part discusses the concrete manifestation of the painters`educational origin andindividual style, and to study how they innovate by drawing lessons from the experience oftraditional paintings.The third part compares the two painters`representative works by doing a step-by-stepanalysis on the painting conception, methodicalness, technique of writing and the ink style,and detailed analysis will be carried out on the innovative factors in their works. I will alsoobserve the specific factors to form the painters`personal style.The fourth part discusses the relationship among copying, sketching and creation. I will thinkover the relationship between the creation and sketching in the art education according to therelevant information of the two painters and the inheritance and innovation performancereflected on the specific works.The comparative analysis on Nizan and Hongren is under the macro-historical background, sowe can see many similarities. Their social status and painting ideas are based on individualculture and artistic attainment, it`s also based on a deep understanding of the artists in theSong and Yuan Dynasties. And the change of ink painting. The process of copying, sketching,creation is full of the independent personality and spirit of freedom. It provides references tothe method of arts education and the inheritance of Chinese culture.
