Chen Qigang Piano Music Style Interpretation

Mr. Chen Qigang is a universally well-known composer from China. The creations’ style of whose compositions has covered nearly every field of instrument. For the example, the 《The song of morning》 played by clarinet, the 《Memory》 played by flute and harp, the 《Instants d’un Opera de Pekin》 played by piano,《Prelude to water melody》 player by Chamber music sextet, the 《The past days》 played by violoncello and symphony. He has created many compositions of high level, which highly proves that Mr, Chen Qi gang is an excellent composer. Among the compositions mentioned above,《Instants d’un Opera de Pekin》 is one of Mr. Chen’s masterpiece in the field of piano compositions. This composition combines the art characteristics of our "national treasure" Beijing Opera and those of some typical western instruments, making the composition itself both boldly creative and full of national characteristics, expressing the composer’s inspiration and wit.In this paper, Mr. Chen Qigang "Instants d’un Opera de Pekin"’style of music study is divided into four parts:The first part describes the reason for this thesis topic, significance, and research the status; the second part introduces Mr. Chen Qigang background of the times, and his two piano works; the third part I will be mainly from the "Instants d’un Opera de Pekin" of music text, combined with "opera" element to analyze the characteristics of this piece of music and artistic expression; the fourth part I will mainly from the "Instants d’un Opera de Pekin" performance analysis start, allowing more in-depth deductive "Instants d’un Opera de Pekin"’ s art style.
